Speakers who have their pulse on the industry will headline the Trends Conference at HBA Global Expo next week in New York at the Javits Center in New York. Taking place September 28-30, HBA Global Expo & Conference is the most important product development event for the cosmetics, personal care, fragrance and skin care industries. The one-day Trends Conference (http://www.hbaexpo.com/trends-conference) , September 28, will provide attendees with exclusive strategies, insights and reports that will shape their future business and keep on trend with product launches. The first presentation by Jamie Ross, Creative Director of The Doneger Group, will be “BEAUTY FORECAST 2011: A Comprehensive Trends Presentation Plus an EyeOn…What’s Next!.” Beauty themes for 2011 will be unveiled as well as the key moods for face, eye, lip and nail color applications. The presentation will include “trend-spotting;” illustrating how street & retail influences from around the globe evolve into noteworthy direction for businesses. EyeOn will offer emerging thoughts and opportunities to direct development into 2012 and beyond. For the first time at HBA, a panel of highly engaged beauty enthusiasts will participate in “TAKE TIME TO LISTEN: Consumers Talk Back.” Led by Ron Robinson founder of BeautyStat.com this panel of dedicated personal care and cosmetics consumers will talk frankly about today’s beauty market, including what gets them excited and what leaves them cold. They also will share what is lacking in their beauty experience and which needs they are hoping some enterprising company will fill. Effective social media initiatives that truly engage the consumer and more will be discussed in this highly entertaining and informative session. Pantone and Ampacet are teaming up again to bring “COLOR TRENDS 2011” an in-depth look at all the color trends that are going to affect the industry in the new year. With a dual perspective, this panel will bring both the expert forecast and a look at those colors that will affect new products and packaging. This vital session will make sure that attendees’ visual choices are on-trend and conveying the right message for consumers. “Trends in Celebrity Fragrance Packaging,” will be the final session in this program. Presented by Beauty Packaging magazine, Nirav Mehta of Coty Beauty will discuss the exciting world of celebrity fragrance packaging including its history and future direction. Mehta will provide an inside perspective on what inspired key designs, how the essence of the celebrity is captured within packaging and how the creativity and innovation in execution contributes to the success of these celebrity brands. “The HBA Trends Conference is beauty’s crystal ball and will help cosmetics and personal care professionals stay in step with the coming trends for 2011 and beyond,” said Jill Birkett, Brand Director, Beauty & Wellness.
